Our Story

Our Story

After the installation of Mogaji Oladiran Alabi for Bashorun Fajimi Ibadan Lineage on May 1st. 2017, he understands that the community and his people have many needs and challenges to overcome. His problems were, how to help them? He develops a dynamic platform that involved every individual in the community in different groups or associations with a specific focus that will target the specific needs of each member in the groups and at the same time, the group will contribute as a whole in the improvement of there community.

The Basorun Fajimi Royal House funds will be solely directed, to improve these groups and the community as a whole.

In response to that, Progressive Young Woman Association (PYWA) comes to life with the main purpose of economically empower the young women of the community, by first knowing their aspirations and them trying to offer job opportunities, training, carrier development, community involvement, education, and more.

Since then, PYWA has grown into a community movement with over 50 passionate and ambitious women from Oranyan, Ibadan in Nigeria. PYWA will replicate this effort in other Basorun Fajimi communities to give the opportunity to each young woman.

Together, we are taking actions and driving change for women’s economic empowerment.

Life Matron

Mogaji Oladiran Alabi's wife from Basorun Fajimi Royal House. Accountant, Graphic Designer, Indie Author, Poet, Photographer, and Folklorist. Mrs. Alabi is a mother, entrepreneur and has a passion for helping others, she is currently on the board of SOF (Sola Olagunju Foundation), and two other non-profit organizations in California, USA. She brings the organizational know-how to this team of women achievers.

She says: "When you know yourself and everything that represents who you are, this knowledge is the source of your power. I want to help young women to understand who they are and they will discover their unlimited power to achieve, change and improve their life, their family, and there community as a whole. "

Shola Adebisi

Oyedele Iyabo Adebisi Olushola was born on the 10th of March 1989 in Kano, Kano State.

She hails from Osun State from Ife local government a native of Modakeke.

Mrs. Adebisi graduates as an accountant from Waziri Umaru Federal Polytechnic, Birnin, Kebbi State. She is also a member of the Nigeria Institute of management.

She is married to Mr. Oke Humphrey from Delta State.  She speaks Yoruba, English, and Hausa.

She says: I believe in self-development and to always be hopeful.

A Yoruba lady from Oyo state in Ibadan, She attended both primary and secondary school in Ibadan. She went for her OND (Ordinary national diploma) in Tops( The oke Ogun polytechnic saki) and Higher National Diploma in The Polytechnic Ibadan. She mayor in Local Government and Development Studies.
Her work is to encourage the women out there to develop themselves and achieve their goals and dreams. She says "We women are the salt of life without us life is meaningless, let's be focus and never stop trying and trying, quit is the greatest sin you can commit. We, women, are the change markers, don't let the troubles of life bring you down, no matter how big is your struggle, God has the power to conquer all things".
